School subjects

Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy is accepted; Accounting and Business Studies help.

How you qualify

A BCom or LLB (NQF 7), or the Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa (CSSA) professional programme, which is the recognised route to the designation. Listed companies must appoint a company secretary, so the role is defined in law. Entry requirements differ by institution - confirm directly with the institution.
